Carrillo Deals Milwaukee 5-0 Setback
|
The Chicago Cubs tallied a win at Miller Park, throttling the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-0. Starting pitcher Jose Carrillo was a big reason for his team's success. Eric Oakes recorded the save, his 1st. The win puts Chicago at 5-3.
Carrillo, a native of Maracay, Venezuela, was dealing all game. He kept Milwaukee hitters off-balance, while giving the Cubs 8.2 quality innings. Carrillo threw 115 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 8.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Carrillo told the Chicago Citizen.
