Blue Jays Take Down Yankees, 4-3
|
New York third baseman Bartholomeu Chambino was sensational. He went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Toronto beat the Yankees, 4-3. Toronto reliever Tim Franco was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Dave Barry took the loss. Early on, the Blue Jays, at 10-4, have excelled.
The Blue Jays relied on shortstop Dylan Novakowski for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 13th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Novakowski told the Toronto News.
