Orioles Fall Short, 6-5, at Boston
|
The Boston Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles, 6-5, in part because of shortstop Alois Wollf. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. The Orioles drop to 10-12 and continue their mediocre start to the 2047 season.
With no one out in the bottom of the seventh, Jarrett Mordecai had a game-changing hit. The Red Sox first baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Antonio Escobosa, making the score 6-5, Boston.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Wollf told the Boston Citizen.
