Bad Behavior Costs Gar and Geraci Saturday, August 24th , 2047 Yesterday at Marlins Park Mike Gar and Chris Geraci got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Miami Marlins and Milwaukee Brewers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Gar will have to sit out 4 while Geraci would be given a 9-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This season Gar has hit at a .261 clip with 33 RBIs, 8 home runs and 57 runs scored. He has played in 109 games. This season Geraci has nailed down 2 saves with 79 strikeouts in 69.2 innings. He is credited with 3 wins and 1 loss and has a 4.91 earned run average. |
