Week's Premier Player: Cleveland's Ogle Monday, September 16th , 2047 25-year-old Nick Ogle sent shock waves through Major League Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the American League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Ogle made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .538 average, 14 hits in 26 at-bats, 6 home runs and 13 runs batted in. Where the Cleveland Guardians designated hitter goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Ogle certainly made his mark last week. So far this year Ogle has 31 home runs and a .286 batting average. |
