No Late-Season Magic Coming: Detroit Out of Playoffs
Sunday, September 29th , 2047
It's the better-luck-next-time point of the season for the Detroit Tigers. The club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today, and will turn their attention to next year's campaign.
"You know, the average player doesn't get that many seasons, so every time you're eliminated, it hurts," said Tigers starting pitcher Adrian Hamilton.
This is the club's 3rd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2044.In total, the Tigers have missed the playoffs 132 times in their 147-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Tigers have made the playoffs 3 times. Detroit has won the World Series 4 times in their history.
