Sanders and Powell Suspended 4 Games for Brawl Tuesday, October 1st , 2047 A bench-clearing brawl marred the Washington-Miami game at Nationals Park yesterday and resulted in two players being suspended today by the league office. The Nationals John Sanders and the Marlins Mike Powell were ejected from the game for fighting. Both players will have to sit out 4 games. To date this year Sanders is batting .320 with 25 home runs. This season Powell has compiled a 4-5 record with a 6.08 ERA in 11 starts. |
