Ogle, Moffat Suspended for Fracas Tuesday, October 1st , 2047 Yesterday at Progressive Field Nick Ogle and Matt Moffat got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Ogle will have to sit out 4 while Moffat would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This year Ogle is batting .275 with 31 home runs. He has scored 76 runs and driven in 79. Season-to-date Moffat has rung up 5 wins and 7 losses in 31 appearances. He has an ERA of 6.06 and has fanned 152 batters in 147 innings. |
