Oakland On Top of American League West Division Thursday, October 3rd , 2047 "We're not done yet!" That was the resounding sentiment in the Oakland Athletics locker room when they were told they had clinched the American League West Division title, for the 31st time. With a 86-75 record, Oakland's stars certainly feel like they have a good chance to go all the way. "We've learned a lot under Daryl S. Oakland's tutelage this year. He's taught us to never be over-confident, and to play every game like a championship game. I think with him and the team we have, we have a great chance to bring a 11th championship to Oakland this year," said second baseman Randy Shrewsbury. |
