Atlanta Takes Wildcard Series in Deciding Game

The Atlanta Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates put on a classic Wildcard Series that was in question until the final game.
In the end, Atlanta won the deciding contest by a score of 8-2, to take the series 2-1.
"It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Ike Trout, who earned series MVP honors for Atlanta. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now."
For the series, Trout hit .615 with a .615 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Atlanta Braves will play against the Chicago Cubs in the next round. Chicago had a bye in the Wildcard Series. The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
