Yankees Heading to Division Series Thursday, October 10th , 2047 New York Yankees won a nail-biting series against the Oakland Athletics 2-1, wrapping up the Wildcard Series finale 8-2 at O.co Coliseum. Yankees right fielder Shiro Suehiro was named the series MVP. He batted .500, drove in 4 runs and scored 3 to lead New York into the next round of play. "Shiro was real solid for us, real solid," said Yankees manager Vince Deyzel. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The New York Yankees will play against the Chicago White Sox in the next round. Chicago had a bye in the Wildcard Series.
