Expos Beat Braves in World Series Tuesday, November 5th , 2047 The Montreal Expos pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the World Series in a hard-fought series with the Atlanta Braves. It was a seesaw affair, but with a 8-1 victory at Quebecor Stadium, Montreal lay claim to the franchise's 3rd championship. "There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Steve French. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today." The champs finished the regular season 90-72 and claimed second place in the American League East Division. A victory parade is set to be schedule in Montreal in the days to come.
