NL Announces #1 Player Award

At age 39, many would be surprised to see Jack Henningar still contributing strongly in Major League Baseball.
But not only did he contribute, the San Francisco Giants first baseman was at the top of the sport, winning the 2047 National League Most Valuable Player Award.
He captured the award with a .330 batting average and a .429 on-base percentage this year. In 153 games he piled up 180 hits, 27 doubles, 8 triples, 50 home runs, 140 RBIs and 113 runs scored.
He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Phil Zacharia of the San Diego Padres finished second in voting, while Lewis Thorpe Jr. of the Milwaukee Brewers finished third.
