Ambrose and Bates Dealt Sunday, December 1st , 2047 St. Louis and Pittsburgh made a trade today. In this move, the Cardinals shipped 25-year old RHP Josh Ambrose to the Pirates for 26-year old 3B Mike Bates. The St. Louis GM told reporters, "I think this trade is beneficial to everyone involved, including the players." Ambrose's lifetime won-lost record is 9 wins and 22 losses with a 6.41 ERA. Bates has registered a career batting average of .274 with 516 hits, 62 homers and 255 RBIs. |
