Lee Mows Down Rochester in No-Hitter
|
Tacoma Rainiers starter Justin Lee came up big today at Cheney Stadium with an exceptional 1-0 outing against the Rochester Red Wings. Not only did he whip them, but Lee held them hitless, too.
"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Lee. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."
In the course of the no-hitter, Lee collected 6 strikeouts and surrendered 1 walk -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books.
