25-Game Streak Ends, Schepers Hitless Friday, May 29th , 2048 Theo Schepers's 25-game hitting streak was snapped today at Principal Park. The 22-year-old Oklahoma City Dodgers second baseman failed to get a hit in 1 at-bat in the game against the Iowa Cubs, but Oklahoma City came out the winner, 4-3. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Theo," Dodgers manager Kelvin Beltre said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." So far this year in 46 games Schepers is hitting .405 with 1 home run, 14 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
