National League Announces #1 Player
Monday, June 29th , 2048
Alex Munoz had a week for the ages as he romped to the National League Player of the Week Award. The happy-go-lucky 37-year-old still plays ball like a kid, mashing and slashing as he goes.
The Gwinnett Braves shortstop hit .611 last week as he chalked up 11 hits in 18 at-bats, 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
This year Munoz is batting .302 with 71 hits, 6 home runs, 17 RBIs, 27 walks, .375 OBP and has scored 29 runs.
