Cordle Torches Clippers for 5 Hits
Wednesday, September 16th , 2048
It was a parade of hits for Tim Cordle of the Nashville Sounds at Herschel Greer Stadium today.
Connecting with regularity, Cordle finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but the Clippers rose to the occasion and rained on his parade with a 5-4 win.
"Cordle was really good, we were just a little better," said Clippers manager Khalil Fobbs in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win."
Tim Cordle singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year Cordle has hit at a .256 clip with 124 hits, 3 home runs, 43 RBIs and 36 runs scored.
