Ross Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Sunday, October 25th , 2048 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Anthony Ross today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Bill Davis Stadium and paced the Buckeyes to a 13-4 win over the Wichita State University Shockers. After his dynamite batting performance, the Ohio State University third baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Anthony Ross hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season Ross is hitting .290 with 8 home runs. |
