Kleinjan Blisters Vanderbilt University Monday, November 16th , 2048 It was a good day for the Cardinal at Hawkins Field as they clipped the Vanderbilt University Commodores, 9-0. It was tremendous day for Donny Kleinjan, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-5. "I don't know what to call that," the Stanford University first baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Donny Kleinjan hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Kevin Folse in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Mamadou Morand in the 9th. Hitting .307 to date, Kleinjan has 24 home runs and 63 RBIs. He has played in 71 games. |
