Alverson Has Season End Thursday, December 17th , 2048 Joe Alverson has to call it a season. The Stanford University Cardinal reliever learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 12/14/2048 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 13 months. The team will likely place Alverson on the injured list today. To this point in the season, Alverson has rung up no saves in 16 relief appearances. He has also crafted a 1.33 ERA, 1 win and no losses and 13 strikeouts in 20.1 innings. |
