Cowboys Williams Smacks 5 Hits
Saturday, December 26th , 2048
Jeff Williams was at the head of a Oklahoma State University hit parade today at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium. The right fielder went to the plate 7 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Cowboys to a 27-1 victory over the University of Michigan Wolverines.
"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Williams told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."
Wolverines skipper Jeff Jones III said later that the club gave up "too much plate."
"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
Jeff Williams singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Henrik Berg in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Henrik Berg in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
This season Williams is hitting .366 with 137 hits, 46 home runs, 136 RBIs, scored 111 runs and played in 98 games.
