Duncan Holds Idaho Falls Scoreless Tuesday, May 17th , 2050 The Idaho Falls Chukars were almost helpless today in their 7-0 loss to the Spokane Indians and hurler Ray Duncan. Duncan kept the Chukars confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Duncan," Idaho Falls manager Michael Petersen said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 31-year-old right-hander had no walks and 13 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Duncan said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." During this season he has made no relief appearances, earning a 4-0 record with no saves. In 36 innings Duncan has struck out 41 with a 0.75 ERA. |
