Trouble in Vermont, Perdomo Suffers Setback
Tuesday, July 12th , 2050
Yesterday Vermont reliever Hector Perdomo sustained a setback in his recovery from a hamstring strain. The Lake Monsters medical staff told him it would be at least 5 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Perdomo told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Perdomo worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal.

Perdomo has earned 1 save and a 3-1 mark this season with a 2.77 earned run average in 13 relief appearances. He has worked 39 innings, yielded 35 hits, struck out 40 batters and walked 6.
