Cota Rips West Virginia for 5 Hits

Mario Cota was the King of Swing today at Dwyer Stadium today in the 24-2 Batavia Muckdogs win over the West Virginia Black Bears. The Batavia catcher stepped into the batter's box 6 times against West Virginia and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him.
"Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 5-for-6 isn't bad for your batting average either."
Mario Cota doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and doubled in the 7th.
This season Cota is batting .233 with 27 hits, 1 home run, 11 RBIs, .308 OBP and has scored 13 runs.
