Injury Derails Season for Gonzalez Sunday, July 31st , 2050 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Vermont's Santiago Gonzalez to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 07/30/2050 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Gonzalez said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Gonzalez has been out of action since he suffered bone chips in his elbow. Running the numbers on Gonzalez for the year, he has made 16 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 0-4 won-lost mark with a 6.43 ERA. In pitching 35 innings, he has totaled 25 strikeouts and 29 walks. |
