Lowell's Wagner Bags NYP Batting Award Monday, August 1st , 2050 When Brian Wagner stepped up to the plate in July he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the McNamara Division Batter of the Month award. The young Lowell second baseman posted a .364 batting average with 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 14 runs. Wagner also worked pitchers for 16 walks to post a .479 on-base percentage. Thus far this season in 79 games Wagner is batting .308 with 8 home runs, 30 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 60 hits in 195 at-bats. |
