Bacon Records Shutout Against Angels Monday, August 8th , 2050 Chris P. Bacon of the Spokane Indians put on a dazzling performance at Avista Stadium today. He shut out the Los Angeles (NYP) Angels 11-0 on a well-pitched 4-hitter, ringing up 15 strikeouts and issuing no walks. "I felt strong out there all day," Bacon said later. For the year Bacon has no relief appearances and a 13-0 record with no saves. He has logged 127 innings and allowed 99 base hits. Opposing clubs have put up a .217 batting average against him. Bacon has rung up 156 strikeouts, surrendered 14 walks and fashioned a 1.91 ERA. |
