In a strong performance, the 27-year-old Smallwood gave up 4 hits in his 8 innings of work and issued 1 walk. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my fastball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." His record this season is 11-7 in 24 starts and Smallwood has a 2.60 ERA. |
