Scrappers Masengill Strikes out 16 Thursday, August 18th , 2050 If you can't hit 'em, you can't beat 'em. That was the story today at the Mahoning Valley-Tri-City clash at Eastwood Field. Scrappers hurler Zach Masengill gunned down 16 ValleyCats via strikeouts and beat them 8-1. In a superb performance, he allowed 3 hits and issued no walks for the victory. So far this year Masengill has been credited with no saves, registered a 3.56 ERA and struck out 159 in 146.2 innings. He also has a 10-3 record. |
