Eugene Mathematically Eliminated from Playoffs Friday, September 2nd , 2050 The baseball world has known for a long time that the Eugene Emeralds were not destined for the playoffs this year. But now it is official, as the team was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. Eugene last appeared in the postseason in 2035. This is their 15th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 33 times in their 35-year history. |
