Sunday, September 25th , 2050
The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Justin Houser.
The first baseman for the State College Spikes hit the milestone today against the Auburn Doubledays, helping his club to a narrow 5-4 victory. Houser finished with a 5-for-10 line at the plate.
"Houser was a tough out today," Auburn manager Grant Reuss told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one."
Justin Houser singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, flied out in the 11th, struck out in the 13th, walked in the 15th, walked in the 17th, grounded out in the 19th, struck out in the 21st and hit an RBI single in the 22nd.
Houser is currently batting .257 with 11 home runs, 46 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has 99 hits in 385 at-bats.
