Canadians Prevail, as Divisional Championship Goes to the Wire Monday, October 17th , 2050 Nat Bailey Stadium was the buzzing center of the baseball universe tonight, hosting the deciding game of the Divisional Championship. The Vancouver Canadians and Chicago (NYP) White Sox had battled tooth and nail to arrive at the final game and in the end it was the Canadians prevailing 8-3 to move on to the Conference Championship. "There's no feeling quite like winning a series in the final game," said an excited Dave Vandehey, who was named series MVP. "This was two great teams and it turned out to be a great series. It's good for the fans." For the series, Vandehey had a 0.00 ERA over 6.2 innings pitched, with a 0-0 record. The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Championship finishes. |
