Englert Named NL Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Sunday, November 20th , 2050
When the name of Jason Englert appeared on the Hillsboro lineup card in 2050, it was a virtual guarantee of a victory or at least a well-pitched game. For his brilliant performance this season he was named the National League Outstanding Pitcher Award winner today.
He started 28 games, running up a 16-6 record and a 2.10 ERA. Englert held opponents to a .188 average while striking out 209, walking 47 and allowing 126 hits in 193 innings of work.
