Brickowski Nails 4 Homers Against Chicago (APP)
Sunday, August 14th , 2050
Fans at Academia de Prospecto Complex won't soon forget the raw display of power put on by Miami (APP) Marlins second baseman Emmet Brickowski today. Brickowski smashed 4 home runs in Miami (APP)'s 26-21 victory over the Chicago (APP) Cubs.
"To be honest with you, I have never even thought about hitting this many home runs in a game," Brickowski said to reporters after the game. "Only legends hit this many home runs in a game and I ain't no legend."
In his history-making performance, Brickowski victimized Chicago (APP) hurlers for 4 hits in 7 at-bats with 4 runs scored and 10 RBIs.
"What he did was unbelievable," said Chicago (APP) manager Jose Sixtos. "My guys gave it their best, but he hit some fine pitches. He was like -- he was in automatic home run mode today. He just had that great swing. It didn't matter what we threw him. It was gone."
Emmet Brickowski hit a two-run home run off Man-keung Li in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Alberto Cabrera in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Alejandro Rios in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Carsten Kosters in the 6th, struck out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
This year Brickowski is hitting .356 with 52 home runs and 120 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .482 clip and scored 113 runs.
