Star of the Week Named in AL Monday, August 22nd , 2050 The votes have been tallied and the winner of the American League Player of the Week has been named. It was awarded earlier today to Mike McClung for his great week at the plate. The Burlington first baseman took home the trophy by banging out 9 hits in 13 at-bats for a .692 batting average, driving in 7 runs and scoring 4 times. This year McClung has hit 9 home runs and posted a .335 batting average. |
