Alex Castro Strokes 3 Home Runs
Thursday, September 1st , 2050
Missoula Osprey first baseman Alex Castro had a magnificent game against the Philadelphia (APP) Phillies today, rocketing three balls out of Philadelphia Phillies Complex to help the Osprey take the 11-10 victory.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Castro went 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Missoula manager Adam Burke said later. "Seems like Alex found his home run stroke today."
Alex Castro struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Ladislav Jagr in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Justin Thornton in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Archie DeBrincat in the 9th.
Castro is hitting .303 this season with 10 home runs, 26 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 152 at-bats.
