The 18-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Nationals past the Helena Brewers. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," bin Maimun told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The first baseman went 3-for-4, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Abdul-Ra'uf bin Maimun grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Gordie Dennis in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Josh Bowman in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Joy in the 7th. So far this year in 109 games bin Maimun is hitting .185 with 20 home runs, 35 RBIs and 44 runs scored. |
