						Ray Shines in Perfect Game
						Thursday, September 29th , 2050
Fans at Bowen Field today were the lucky witnesses to a feat so rare, so spectacular, that it is certain to go down in the annals of baseball history. Bluefield Blue Jays starter pitched nine unblemished innings for a perfect game against the Elizabethton Twins.
The Bluefield hurler struck out 20 and walked none while making history, defeating Elizabethton 5-0. He sat down 27 batters in order.
After a game like that, Ray would have been forgiven for going a little wild, but the 21-year-old was the picture of calm as he sat with reporters after the game.
"I'm thrilled," he said. "This is a dream come true."
For the year Ray has no saves. In no relief appearances he has hurled 130 innings, fanned 195 and issued 21 walks with a 13-0 record. The Bluefield reliever has recorded a 1.87 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .151 when he is on the hill.
