5-Hit Blitz by Pulaski's Hays Sunday, October 9th , 2050 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Pulaski's 22-5 win over Great Falls today, left fielder Bailey Hays was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Calfee Park. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Hays said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Bailey Hays hit an RBI triple in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In 104 games this season Hays has compiled a .342 batting average with 104 hits and 20 home runs. He has also scored 71 times and knocked in 70 runs. |
