Weaver Bangs 3 HR Against Elizabethton

Princeton second baseman Derek Weaver blasted three homers today at H.P. Hunnicutt Field in the 11-2 Rays victory over the Elizabethton Twins.
For the game, Derek Weaver scored 3 times and knocked in 9 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Weaver when he reached home plate.
"It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-5, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Weaver told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day."
Derek Weaver struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Adhamhnan Muljana in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Adhamhnan Muljana in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Miguel Bustamante in the 6th and struck out in the 7th.
So far this season Weaver has 42 home runs and a .296 batting average.
