Injury Derails Season for Sonnichsen Thursday, October 13th , 2050 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Bluefield's Philip Sonnichsen to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 10/11/2050 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Sonnichsen said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Sonnichsen has been out of action since he suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament. This season Sonnichsen is 4-and-1 with 1 save and a 1.57 ERA. He has given up 37 hits in 69 innings with 97 strikeouts. |
