Abdul-Muta'al Bashes 3 HR for Philadelphia (APP) Thursday, October 20th , 2050 Fans are still buzzing after Philadelphia (APP) whipped the Missoula Osprey by the score of 17-11 today at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. Avicenna Abdul-Muta'al smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 4 hits in 6 at-bats, had 8 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Abdul-Muta'al said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Abdul-Muta'al said. "Three is just... wow." Avicenna Abdul-Muta'al hit a three-run home run off Victor Cisneros in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Daryl Blair in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Erik Stegenga in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Abdul-Muta'al has hit at a .245 clip with 30 RBIs, 10 home runs and 19 runs scored. |
