Chiquete Slams 5 Hits for Grand Junction Sunday, October 23rd , 2050 Mike Chiquete really sizzled at the plate in today's 10-6 win over Giants. The Grand Junction left fielder blistered San Francisco (APP) for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Chiquete was too tough to get out today," the Giants skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Mike Chiquete singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. On the year Chiquete has hit .324 with 6 home runs, 35 RBIs and scored 82 runs. |
