Helena Loses Ruiz, Out 11 Months Tuesday, October 25th , 2050 Jose Ruiz will have to wait a while longer. The Helena starting pitcher was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 11 months with a torn labrum. The injury has kept him off the field since 10/24/2050. Though Ruiz had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive." Checking out his stats for the year, Ruiz has racked up 4 wins and 7 losses in 31 starts, posted a 4.70 ERA, and struck out 184 batters in 132 innings. |
