Giants Prevail, as Conference Series Goes to the Wire Wednesday, November 23rd , 2050 The joy and relief on the faces of the San Francisco (APP) Giants players was obvious as they celebrated their Conference Series win over the San Diego (APP) Padres. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said San Francisco (APP) second baseman Jaime Rios, shortly after the 8-1 win that clinched the series 4-3. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the World Series. Rios won series MVP honors on the strength of his .333 batting average during the series. He also had a .419 on-base percentage and 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 8 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Series finishes. |
