McGregor 5-for-5 for Expos Tuesday, September 6th , 2050 Bill McGregor was sizzling at the plate today. The Montreal left fielder blistered the Boston Red Sox for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to a 7-6 defeat. "McGregor was too tough to get out today," Red Sox skipper Rob Diederichs said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win." Bill McGregor singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Jeremy Hernandez in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
