Reds Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, September 27th , 2050 It wasn't meant to be for the Cincinnati Reds this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Reds starting pitcher Ryan Sobocinski. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." Before this season, the Reds last missed the playoffs in 2047. In the 161 years they have been a Major League Baseball franchise, they have missed the playoffs 141 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Reds have missed the playoffs 7 times. Cincinnati has won the World Series 6 times in their history. |
