Rangers Starter Wins AL Pitching Award Saturday, October 1st , 2050 The American League named the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award. It went to Franz Holzknecht of Texas Rangers, who impressed the voters with a glittering 5-1 record in September. The Texas star hurler made 6 starts, allowed 37 hits in 43.1 innings, struck out 26 and had a 2.08 ERA. To this point in the season, Holzknecht shows a 13-12 record, 33 starts, 200.2 innings, 141 strikeouts and a 4.98 ERA. |
