Best Rookie Trophy Presented to Jones Tuesday, November 15th , 2050 When it came to hitting the baseball, McGwire Jones of the St. Louis Cardinals outdid his freshman peers in the National League this year and was named the 2050 Rookie of the Year Award winner earlier today. The standout Cardinals third baseman took the honor by hitting .299 in 139 games this season and finished with 149 hits, 20 home runs, 84 RBIs and 65 runs scored. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Michael Krott of the Colorado Rockies finished second in voting, while Chad Cutler of the San Diego Padres finished third.
